Children's eyes need special care. Children under 21 years old can have their eyes checked and get eyeglasses as medically necessary. If the eyeglasses are lost or broken, TLC will replace them as medically necessary. Your TLC eye doctor will show you which frames you can choose from.
TLC will pay for other vision care if it is medically necessary. Contacts are only covered if they are medically necessary.
Children do NOT have to see thier PCP before seeing their TLC eye doctor. But, the eye doctor must still be in the TLC Provider directory.
Vision Services are not covered for TLC members over the age of 21 unless they have a special illness or if they have an eye injury.
